Dear Friends,

As we approach our annual fundraising drive, we reflect back on the growth of LINK during this past year. We just celebrated the completion of our beautiful building, with the addition of our new (upstairs) annex. This new area is being used primarily for women’s programming. This includes our weekly learning program TLC, which is a unique outreach event for college-aged women (directed by Mrs. Sara Fisgus), our LINK Sem for post-high school/seminary women and our “LINK Ladies Connect” educational and social programming directed by Rebbetzin Batyah Brander. The lounge area is also used for YPLA’s Thursday night mishmar/kumsitz and the bi-weekly visits from Rabbi Louie’s HDC Outreach Program for teens from the Valley.

The Kollel welcomes some key additions to its staff. Rabbi Yisroel Field, a renowned Talmid Chacham, previously from the Los Angeles Kollel and the Denver Yeshiva, is the new Rosh Chaburah for second seder. The Kollel welcomes Rabbi and Mrs. Dovid and Sara Bracha Starck and Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim and Menucha Shubert as well as Rabbi Yehuda Faguet who, aside from the rigorous Kollel learning sedarim, is involved with Community Engagement. The Kollel is actively working on exciting new initiatives which we hope to announce soon. Stay tuned!

While many new people have come to learn in the evenings during this past year, we have seen a marked increase since the tragic massacre in Israel on October 7th and the ensuing war. This renewed interest in learning can also be found during various daytime hours as well - whether it’s people who are learning with our Avreichim, or the many shiurim and chavrusas, including Rabbi Casen’s new daily 9:00am Workers on Fire shiur, or the many people avail themselves Rabbi Weinstock’s one-on-one mentorship. The atmosphere in the Bais Medrash is electric and intense, as Klal Yisroel utilizes its greatest weapon – Limud HaTorah – to safeguard our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael.

 At this critical time for Klal Yisrael, LINK has stepped up its efforts to strengthen and unify us through Limud HaTorah. Now is the time for all of our supporters and friends to step up to the plate and ensure LINK's future growth so that the Rabbis can focus fully on giving chizuk, direction and Torah knowledge to the vast cross-section of the LA community which we service.
