About LINK Kollel - Illuminating the Future of Jewish Learning

Since 2002, LINK Kollel has been a beacon of Torah learning and Jewish unity in Los Angeles. Our mission is to inspire and educate Jews from all backgrounds, fostering a vibrant community rooted in Torah values.

LINK is more than a center for Torah learning—it’s a place where individuals and families connect, change and grow.

Our Impact:

LINK Kollel is at the heart of our community, providing incredible programs from daily Torah learning to youth programs, making a difference in the lives of children and adults of all ages. B'CHASDEI HASHEM, LINK has 13 distinct, important and transformational programs that make a huge hashpa’a in Klal Yisrael:

• LINK Community Kollel: With over 10 families learning 3 sedarim a day
• LINK Community Beis Medrash: Providing daily learning opportunities and personalized study sessions for all levels
• LINK Professionals Torah: Men’s learning seder for young professionals
• YPLA (Yeshiva Program of Los Angeles): Engaging post-high school young men with dynamic Torah study and camaraderie
• TLC (Torah Learning for Collegiates): A kiruv program supporting young women through learning, mentorship, and social events in a welcoming atmosphere
• LINK Sem: Creating a space for female young professionals girls to grow and connect with peers
• LINK Ladies Connect: Offering classes, social events, and chesed initiatives to empower and connect women in our community
• Boys Torah Night: Bi-Weekly Beis Medrash program for boys in Grades 4-8
• LINK Shul: We have over 10 daily minyanim, including the 2 latest Maariv minyanim on Pico
• Magen Avot: A unique Sefardic Shul with Moroccan customs
• LINK Halacha Institute: Various education tracks, community services in halacha l’maaseh and a monthly kashrus newsletter
• LINK Publishing House: Pioneering publications on halacha and Jewish thought, with 5 seforim published so far
• Youth Programs: Hosting Shabbos morning groups and exciting events to nurture the next generation

• 840 hours of Torah studied by avreichem weekly
• 62+ chavrusas & shiurim taking place weekly
• 250+ participants engaged in learning & davening daily

We also bought a duplex and an apartment building in a real effort to house the kollel families to consolidate and fix our costs.

Our Goal:

To continue and expand these vital programs, we aim to raise $1.5 million during our annual crowdfunding campaign on December 3-4. Generous matchers have pledged $750,000, and we seek your partnership to match this amount.

Dear Friends,

We would like to gratefully acknowledge the tremendous support that you have given LINK over the past 22 years as the Kollel has grown from its humble beginnings in Westwood to being the powerhouse of Torah that it is today. Without your partnership and your confidence in our abilities to inspire Jews of all ages with passionate Torah study, we could never have done it.  

Once again this year, we will be having our Pledje Crowdfunding campaign, this coming Tuesday December 3rd at 10am until Wednesday December 4th at 10pm. Every dollar donated will be matched. We have already raised $750,000 from our major donors and we are turning to the community at large for your generous support in raising another $750,000 for a grand total of $1.5 million.  

Let us reflect for a moment on the uniqueness of the LINK Kollel. Every day from 6am to 11pm, we have a most unique combination that can be found under one roof. We have children (even pre-Bar Mitzvah boys twice a week), teenagers, college students, young professionals, middle-aged, and senior- aged Jews from literally all walks of life: Sefardim, Ashkenazim, those Frum from birth, and those just starting their journey. We have an active learning program for young women as well. 

When one walks into the LINK Beis Medrash on any given evening, he is struck by the sheer excitement and passion that reverberates throughout the room. Our Avreichim are learning with a breathtaking assortment of Jews - some who are studying Torah for the first time, some who have come back to it after an absence of many years and some who never missed a day of serous Torah learning in their life

Our eclectic group of Avreichim are brimming with Torah knowledge and excited to be giving it over in a warm, non-judgmental manner. At the very same time - for many hours a day - these same Avreichim are learning Shas and Shulchan Aruch on a deep and profound level under the expert tutelage of our Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Mordechai Lebhar. They are training to become the future Rabbanim, Rebbeim, Dayanim, and Poskim of Klal Yisroel in Los Angeles.
